Hair Care Products For My #ShortHair & Hair Journey

This week, let's talk hair care products for short hair and my hair journey!

My Hair Journey
Before the big kinky-natural hair craze, I was already doing the kinky-natural styles with my hair. Things were different back then in the early 2000's. Now, there are SO many hair care products for this hair type. It's a lot more fun now to explore and experiment with your hair.

However, not only was I kinky natural, but I wore braids all the time, weaves, wigs, and learned to style my own hair in these ways as well. It was definitely a hair journey for me. It wasn't until about 6 years ago, that it was recommended by a make up artist to try styling my hair with a short cut. At first, I was totally against doing a short hairstyle. I didn't think I could pull it off but obviously I was wrong...lol. About 2 weeks later, I decided to trust her suggestion and went to her hairstylist and got it cut, relaxed, and styled. From that day forward I have been a short hair gal and lovin' it! I even learned how to trim and style my own hair. With my short hairstyle, it is easy to sleep on, workout, and get ready in the mornings. By the way, a short hairstyle may not be right for you, so it's really about finding the hairstyle that fits your face, your lifestyle, and makes you feel beautiful!! Be true to you!!

My First Visit to #SanFrancisco Video Blog

There are some places that you visit for the first time, that leave a memorable mark. That is exactly what San Francisco did for me, during my first visit in September 2015.

I took this photo as we were approaching the Golden Gate Bridge

Since it was my first time, I decide to take the Hop-on-Hop off BigBus Tour around San Francisco, to get a general, overall feel of the city. I have heard that San Francisco can be very rainy and cold, but I got lucky on this day. I am grateful for that because it was perfect!

I sat at the very top while strolling through San Francisco.

Among all of the rustling and bustling of the city, people walking and driving here and there, I felt comfortable. I felt as if there was something more to this city than the typical tourist spots. There was an unspoken connection with this city. I like to visit different places to see if I could actually live there and San Francisco is a place that I could definitely explore as a resident. The city was refreshing, the layout of the city was welcoming, and there was a lot to do. I was born, a city girl, so San Francisco reminded me of how a city should feel when you want to hang out, have some awesome food, and enjoy the views.

During my time on the bus tour, I took lots of pictures and video footage, that I put together in this video blog. You can see what I saw, in the video below! Enjoy!

Have your visited San Francisco? What did you think of this city? Do you live there now? Are there any insights you can give me about living there?

My #LifeGoals are Filled In the 2016 Create Your Shining Year Life Workbook by Leonie Dawson

We are moving right along, well into our 2nd full week of 2016! How is everything going for you? In January, I take some time to myself, and complete Leonie Dawson's Create Your Shining Year Life Workbook. Since discovering her workbooks, I have used them for the past two years now, and 2016 is my third year.

I set a goal for myself, to complete the Life Workbook, in the first two weeks of January and her Biz Workbook in the final two full weeks of January. By doing this, I know that I have a realistic amount of time to get it done, around work, creative projects, video blogging, and everyday errands. When February rolls around, I will refer back to my responses and review them to begin the process of taking action. Then I will do this every month, thereafter, to stay mentally sharp and focused on my intentions for this year.

In the following video blog below, I share with you my personal updates and review of her Life Workbook, after completely filling it in.

Your Reading List
She also does a fantastic job of sectioning off every area of your life, to include: creativity, soul, mind, family, relationships, community, and finances. Then there's recommended resources and books to read for that particular area of your life. I ended up taking some time to look up every book, and identifying, which books connected with me the most, to read them this year. You're going to enjoy this experience.

Your Hands-on Activities
If you're into hands-on activities and you want to seriously commit to her full process of goal setting this year, then you'll enjoy the opportunities to color in your workbook, to create your dream board (vision board) for your life, cut out your list of affirmations when you're in a suckie mood, and make your miracles jar (as shown below) for the year.

Are you ready to start your 2016 Create Your Shining Year Life Workbook
If so...
